In June, we celebrated the opening of our new factory, Teknoware Asia Sdn. Bhd., in Malaysia. Employing almost 50 professionals, the modern factory will produce interior lighting and interior structures, as well as exterior lighting solutions for public transport.
"We are proud of our new Malaysia factory, which enables us to better meet our customers' needs in India, the rest of Asia, Australia and, indeed, the rest of the world," says Esa Melkko, Business Director, Teknoware Vehicle Solutions.
The new factory is located in the APAC countries, enabling good connections to both suppliers and customers. It replaces two older facilities, which were also located in Malaysia. Now, from Malaysia, we can deliver customized lighting solutions and complete interior structures for even the most challenging projects, regardless of whether they are new or refurbishment projects. Everything is more efficient now because there is no need for transportation from one factory to another and all internal processes can be optimized. Our production in Malaysia meets the requirements of our rolling stock customers, so now we can serve them and our bus customers better.
Esa Melkko summarises the benefits of the new production facilities: "This investment will ensure that we have sufficient production capacity in the future, and it will help us to meet growing customer demand."
