LED Interior Lighting Systems for the TGV Duplex Refurbishment
The French national railway company, SNCF, selected Teknoware to supply the LED interior lighting systems for the TGV (train à grande vitesse) Duplex Refurbishment. The TGV Duplex is a French high-speed train of the TGV family, manufactured by Alstom, and operated by the French national railway company, SNCF.
The scope of supply covers the main light lines with state of the art opening ceiling frames on both sides of the aisles. The system also includes indirect mood lighting, lighting dimming, and an integrated emergency lighting mode. The new lighting provides a number of benefits including extended light lifetime, maintenance and operating cost savings, safety and high passenger comfort.
Lighting solutions for 59 double-decker trains
Deliveries of the lighting for up to 59 double-decker trains consisting of nearly 500 rail cars began in 2017 and could last until 2025 if all options are confirmed.
Every day, SNCF operates 450 TGV trains at speeds of 320 km/h between the biggest cities in France.
