Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting is one of the most important safety systems in a vehicle: in critical situations, the system makes it possible to exit and evacuate the vehicle safely. Confidence is the basis of all emergency lighting. When we deliver emergency lighting, we provide confidence and reliability.

Emergency lighting, in vehicles like buses and coaches, is designed to automatically switch on whenever the normal power supply is interrupted or ceases to provide sufficient power to the normal lighting, thus ensuring that passengers are not left in the dark.

Developed according to customer specifications and country-specific and EU regulations (e.g. ECE R107 and California law SB 247), our emergency lighting battery back-up unit and systems are designed to be used around the world. The emergency lighting system can be integrated into the vehicle’s main lighting or be controlled via one of our control systems. We are able to optimize the number of light units required and their positioning within the vehicle using our light level simulation software.

We supply our emergency lighting systems with independent battery backup Power Supply Units (PSUs) and a controller. In fact, a fully integrated emergency lighting system for a bus or coach often comes as part of a complete package including main lighting, spotlights, illuminated exit signs, and power supply units.
