Examples of Special Lighting Products

Door Lights

Lights can be integrated into the door pillars and include different functions, such as indicating the opening and closing of doors, designation of doors reserved for disabled passengers, and out-of-service notices and notifications. These functions are carried out using RGB LED and master control units.

Reading Lights

Reading lights come as modular or individual LED lighting installations, with individual lights guaranteeing a balanced light distribution and low surface temperature to suit the surroundings. Modular service units can have directional spotlights, air ventilation nozzles and on/off service switches. All reading lights prevent glare to ensure other passengers remain undisturbed.

Feature Lights

Individual feature lights can be fitted into areas that require specific lighting, such as vestibules, toilets and corridors. In refurbishment projects featuring older cars with internal structures that do not allow for the standard continuous runs of lighting, lighting units can instead be designed according to the exact space, style and level of illumination that the space demands.

Lights for Demanding Conditions

Teknoware Extreme is a robust and reliable lighting unit that is perfect for demanding applications such as doorsteps and gangways. It is built from aluminium, comes with IP67-certified water resistance, and is able to withstand heavy impact. It has six super-bright CSP LEDs with optical silicone lenses that are resilient and provide safe and effective illumination for when work needs to be carried out in extreme temperatures or weather conditions.

LED Tubes

Upgrade fluorescent tubes to modern LED lights with Teknoware LEDtube T8. Its super bright white LEDs operate at lower temperatures and use less energy while delivering the same level of brightness. With its efficient thermal design, including an aluminium-backed PCB and rear heat sinks, the LEDtube T8 has a long life expectancy of 60,000 hours, reducing long-term maintenance costs. This product is specially designed for rolling stock applications.

Flexible LED strips

Flexible LED strips perform the same function as other LED products, but have the added benefits of being bendable, cuttable, and versatile. Flexible LED strips mean that lighting can be integrated in interior structures in completely novel ways, while also cutting costs, reducing weight and preserving the environment.
