Teknoware acquired full ownership of Willing in January 2025
Dr. Ing. Willing GmbH, a renowned German supplier of emergency lighting solutions, successfully serving the German market for over 40 years, has been majority-owned by Teknoware Oy since 2018. On 14 January 2025, Teknoware acquired full ownership of Willing, and going forward the company will operate under the new name Teknoware Deutschland GmbH.
Kai Kauto, President of Teknoware Oy, stated, “The transformation of Willing into Teknoware and the name change to Teknoware Deutschland GmbH will enhance our market position by combining the strengths and expertise of both companies.“
Teknoware is recognized for its technical expertise, for its high-quality emergency lighting systems, and for its long-lasting Escap supercapacitor technology. With decades of experience in the market, Teknoware has firmly established itself as a leading player in the Nordic region.
In 2025, the Willing brand and its products will be merged into Teknoware’s offering. This integration will give customers access to Teknoware’s full range of high-quality products, while also harmonising product names. The design and manufacture of all products will take place at Teknoware’s factory in Finland, covering both electronics and mechanical parts.
“We are excited to begin operating under the Teknoware brand and to strengthen our collaboration with Teknoware’s skilled organisation in Finland. With an updated product range, we will offer a broader selection of durable, high-quality products to our customers,” said Sales Manager Daniel Brauner from Teknoware Deutschland GmbH.
